In this newly created position, we are looking for a Public Sector Practice Lead – representing and accelerating growth in our public sector portfolio, while ensuring continued delivery excellence. This will build upon Valtech’s strong and long-standard track record delivering high profile services to Public Sector clients that bring meaningful positive impact to society.

Public Sector Practice Lead at Valtech

As the Practice Lead, you will be the subject matter expert for the sector, utilising your existing network and building strong relationships with client stakeholders and acting as the internal executive sponsor for government work within Valtech. This role will sit as part of the UK Senior Management Team, responsible for achieving significant growth of our Public Sector delivery portfolio, working closely in collaboration with the business development, Senior Leadership and Management Teams, as well as wider marketing, delivery and client partnership teams.

In addition, you will:

• Represent the Public Sector Practice in Valtech’s UK Delivery Senior Leadership Team
• Oversee lead generation and relationship development through networking, participation at industry events and thought leadership articles
• Be the subject matter expert for the sector, supported by a team of practitioner leads representing individual disciplines
• Work closely with the Business Development team to support engagement with prospects and the production of winning bid responses
• Own overall knowledge of the sector, considering both government strategy and collation of on the ground insights from project teams
• Being the face of Valtech in the UK Public Sector market and community

You and the role 

You will have a passion for making a difference by delivering great outcomes for Public Sector clients that have a meaningful positive impact on society. You will be excited about delivering considerable growth within Valtech’s public sector portfolio and be confident in detailed bid and delivery conversations, whilst still able to abstract collaborate across the organisation to reach compromise and optimise decision making, in order to win new business effectively. You will be a strong communicator across seniorities and specialisms, have a strong business acumen and empower others through a growth mindset.

What you possess 

• Demonstrable experience of being accountable for growing a Public Sector delivery portfolio on a significant scale
• You will be a collaborative digital delivery leader with business development experience who has considerable experience driving growth
• Experience working on multiple concurrent deliveries in a fast paced, agile Digital Technology environment, managing portfolios of £10m-50m+ with teams of 50-200+
• An extensive knowledge and network within the UK Public Sector digital space
